For this blog I will share some POSITIVE things about our island and will ask you to do the same.
1. In NASA's 20th annual Great Moonbuggy Race (2013), 89 teams participated. Both the high school division and the college division were won by Puerto Rican teams. The high school students were from Yabucoa and the college students were from the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao.

2. Rincón will be the first town in Puerto Rico to prohibit the use of plastic bags in stores starting in January 2015. They have studied the impact of plastic bags on the environment and have decided to take action. This has been done in other countries and has been very successful. I just hope the whole island decides to do the same.

3. Sometimes people think that bigger means better. Universities are not the exception. Many people have not heard about Columbia Centro Universitario, or if they have, they tend to have a negative image of it. The Nursing program is one of the best in the area. In fact, 98% of the students at the associate degree level and 100% at the bachelor degree level passed the board exam in December of 2013.

This article it’s about the Scuba Dogs, an organization that clean beaches in Puerto Rico. Volunteer people say yes to this project without anything in return. A lot of persons of different ages works as a group and give their best to clean the beach.
I think it’s a good start to make a better Puerto Rico. We need more people like this Scuba Dogs to awareness people and take care of Puerto Rico. The English professor should make a project like this with the students and give some points so we all have better grades and at the same time we do something to make the difference and improve the appearance of our beaches.

ReplyDeleteFor me it is a good idea to ban plastic bags in the town of Rincon. Because it is important to care for our environment by recycling they should do this in every town to create awareness.

ReplyDeleteI had not heard about any of the articles I read, but even though I had not heard about them is that nursing students of Columbia University Center have always excelled in the bar examinations for their ratings of excellence by which I am very proud of the university.

The article that I liked most was that of nursing students from the Columbia University Center as it fills me with pride because I am nursing student at the same university and are committed to improving the quality of life of human beings providing a service with love and professionalism.

In my personal opinion I think the main message is to create awareness that everything that happens on the island of Puerto Rico is not negative, there are many reasons why we should be proud to be Puerto Rican. On the island of Puerto Rico there are many intelligent, bright and above all very professional people.

Yes I think it is a good idea that would help protect the environment in general. There are several forms of transportation today we can use when shopping and if all people do the same results would be more noticeable and would improve the quality of the environment of our country.

One of the main reasons why I chose to study at the Columbia University Center was because I heard that nursing students who were graduates of the institution were the best grades in examinations. On the negative I have heard that some students have problems with scholarship payments, but so far that my has done very well and have not had such problems.

The island of Puerto Rico is full of great pride and pleasure to welcome the national gymnastics team which reached the airport Luis Muñoz Marín after his fifth gold medal at the Central American Games which were held in Veracruz, Mexico . The team is formed by Luis Rivera, Alexander Rodriguez, Tommy Ramos, moral and Alexis Rafael Torres. Gymnasts achieved a score of 259.50 beating the record of the Colombia team, who last year highest scoring team Puerto Rico obtained. At the airport Luis Muñoz Marín awaited family, friends and fans singing and celebrating big achievement of these young people. Young people expressed thanking Puerto Rico for the support and making it clear that better prepare for subsequent events which are The Pan American and Olympic Games in Brazil.
In my personal opinion I feel very proud of these young people to return victorious powers. It is very exciting to see how the people of Puerto Rico says this giving support to these young people well be preparing for a future professionals feel the passion to bring up the people of Puerto Rico. I had no knowledge of these skills or team members, but I must say that these young people are an example of perseverance and excellence.

The Puerto Rican Chamber Nathanael returned to the podium of the Central American and Caribbean Games. The Puerto Rican won a bronze medal in rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline I apparatus, recording score of 50,925 in your routine. A total of six gymnasts competed in the final. To Nathaniel, is his second consecutive podium at these games after winning silver four years ago in Mayagüez 2010.
My opinion is that he got a good prize because there were several finalists. I think it may be the winner. Good to represent Puerto Rico in other countries and hold it up.

Have positive message about Puertorrican people. We need to focus on the good things and start making something to change the bad things. We are young and personally I still have no kids, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want them. I do want kids but I want them to live in a great and peaceful country.

I've heard both positive and negative, one positive is that it is one of the universities more prepared in nursing science studies because it has a large laboratory and practice centers; one of the negative is that the cost of the courses is very high and sometimes some students find it hard to pay the debt because the scholarship only covers some and is a debt.

At a meeting between representatives of the Mountain College, University of Puerto Rico Utuado and the Department of Agriculture, yielded positive results for students, who can now sell their products at Plaza Las Americas and Plaza del Caribe in Ponce. It will be provided to students in the Department of Agricultural Technology UPRU direct contact with farmers so that they will provide raw material of the country in order to lower the costs of developing products for students and, in turn, ensure that the product is completely made in Puerto Rico. The Department of Agriculture presents at the Thirtieth Edition Inland Festival in March 2015 on incentives program of the Department of Agriculture of Puerto Rico for youth interested in agriculture and established farmers.
It's a great way and opportunity for young people to succeed. People sometimes do not help to those who need and want to get ahead is to support small business and those who want to become one as it is from here and here. It should provide more support and assistance to us as young people want to get ahead for a better life and a good future. Positive things ought to get out more than negative.

The article that I like the most it was the first article that is about the he Nasa Moonbuggy race won by Puerto Rican teams because there were many others countries competing and we won the first place. News like these one usually doesn’t get the emphasis that deserve. I always the media give emphasis to the bad news and the people needs to know the good thing that Puerto Ricans can do.

What I hve heard positive of the Columbia is that the nursing program, is one of the best and it get demonstrate when the students takes the board. The student from the Columbia gets the higher score in the board rename university. The negative is think that I have heard that some teachers are giving is the nursing program and the program is more expensive that others universities.

The feast of San Sebastian Street is configured for Puerto Ricans as the celebration that ends the Christmas season. It is a festival that is held the third weekend in January, from Thursday to Sunday in the capital city of Puerto Rico. Note that in these four days of celebration people go out to enjoy the festivities of San Sebastian Street, neighbors decorate the streets and balconies of their houses and prepare the costumes that were used in dances. Before beginning a Mass celebrated in honor of the martyr St. Sebastian on Thursday. and then those of more scheduled activities are performed. Sources say the festival dates back to the nineteenth century, however it is known that in 1954 the father Juan Manuel Madrazo, pastor of the church San Jose del Viejo San Juan, was the manager of the idea to raise funds to restore the street and help the parish. Within a few years, father Madrazo was moved to another parish outside of San Juan, which caused the Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastian held stop. A mid-70s, the historian Ricardo Alegría, asked Doña Rafaela Balladares de Brito to restart the holidays and also started the festival to raise funds for the College of Párvulos. She and neighbors began this celebration again. The festival of San Sebastian Street was held over two consecutive weekends but this was reduced to one. Over the years these festivals have taken off but have lost meaning because many of those who go are young people who do not know the origins of the celebration. The reason for the same was celebrating the Holy that despite the danger did not deny their religion and stood firm in their faith.
